I work in Texas.
Boxes of files were all over the floor in my office for months. I asked if they could be stacked or removed because I could hardly walk. 3 weeks ago I fell and injured both my back and knee. My knee has since healed to the point of no pain at least. I’m still wearing a brace for my back. I know they were switching insurance and had a letter from the new company saying they denied me. When I asked about it at work boss told me they’d look into it. Nothing was ever done and I havent been able to get my back looked at. What do I do?
Recently quit my job due to horrible treatment from bosses wife who serves as the bookkeeper. (Assumed that since I know a lot about computers that the recent computer trouble that happen during my vacation was my fault, so she implicated me with no proof and worked to make my life hell at work till I finally couldnt take it anymore)

Workman’s comp cannot be denied due to work injury, even after termination of employment (if it was documented).

I do not think it is legal to cut somone off benifits if they are ill or unwell or unfit to work, plus tha bad treatment from boses could be classed as discrimination depending on your race and your boses race, but i am sure you have somthing behind all this mess, but beleive me as long as you are unwell to work then you are entitled to benefits and treatment as long as you paid your taxes when you were working

Yeah, I think a lawyer would be your best bet here. It doesn’t hurt to talk to one…..see if you have a case…
