About to buy a rather expensive holiday and I don’t want to end up like one of those poor people affected by XL’s collapse. I cant find any on the price comparison websites.

There is insurance if your trip is cancelled. There is no insurance if your agency closes. Only Lloyds of London insures obscure scenarios like that..
